I must start off by apologizing for the lack of posts this month, we have been really busy and I haven’t had time to sit down and blog.
This winter started off with record low temps and lots of ice, but no snow. Then we had a few days of spring-like weather, followed by windstorm after windstorm. The wind blew so hard that on several occasions I thought we were going to wake up in the Land of Oz.
When
there has been a break in the weather, we spend our time cleaning up from the
last windstorm. Picking up debris, moving
fallen limbs off the road, and looking for our doormat that keeps being blown
away (that’s what 70+ mph winds will do).
The weather has kept us inside this week so I have stayed busy with reorganizing closets, and deep cleaning the house, with occasional breaks to play cards and puzzles with the kids. Tony has been busy working and trying to round up parts for the inverter, solar panels, wind turbine and cables to connect everything.

Today
the wind has continued to howl bringing along with it the rain and occasional
hail. Could the snow finally be making
an appearance? Our kids sure hope
so. According to them, this has been the
most boring winter ever - no sledding, no snowshoeing, no snow forts, no snow
angels, and no snow ball fights.
I would post a picture of the snowless mountain, except the mountain has been hiding the last few days. Hopefully the next time the mountain comes out it will be covered in snow!
